Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh often spoke of 'naked sex workers,' never met same woman twice, says relative

( Click Here To latest aaps news join our facebook gruop )

The latest revelation comes from Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh's relative Bhupinder Singh Gora, who said that he often spent time with women and spoke of "naked sex workers."

Even though self-styled godman and Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is currently lodged at the Sunaria jail in Rohtak, after being convicted of raping two sadhvis, the details of his dirty deeds have been making headlines almost on a daily basis. The latest revelation comes from the Dera chief's relative Bhupinder Singh Gora, who has given out more information on Ram Rahim's obsession with women.
Gora told India Today TV that the convicted Dera chief would often invite high-profile girls to Sirsa where he resided or even temporarily move base to Mumbai, where he spent about a fortnight every month. The move and the girls were all arranged by the "adopted daughter" Honeypreet Insan.
Ram Rahim would reportedly spend most of his time with women, be it in Sirsa or Mumbai. "He would openly talk about naked sex workers in the presence of lakhs of female followers," Gora revealed, adding that he had three definitions to love -- mizazi (one-night stand), hakiki (soulful love) and ruhani (divine love).
Gora also revealed that Ram Rahim may have met several women in his cave, but the convict never met the same woman twice, no matter who she was. Not just that, he also kept a close watch on all the women followers requesting to meet him. Though these women were often told that the Dera chief was meditating, it was far from the truth.
"The staff on duty told the women that Baba was busy in meditation. However, the truth is he never touched a religious book nor did any meditation," Gora told India Today TV.

While these details have been trickling in now, it seemed to be a known fact within the Dera and its followers. In fact, Congress leader Harminder Singh too had told Gora to keep women away from Ram Rahim. "Former Congress leader Harminder Singh Jassi had once told me that we should avoid sending our own women in front of Ram Rahim as he might exploit married women too," Gora added.
This revelation comes after Ram Rahim's former bodyguard Beant Singh spoke about what things go on at the Dera. Beant had earlier given an explosive interview to Times Now, and spoke about how Ram Rahim has raped pretty much all the sadhvis in turns and everyone at the Dera knew about it.
He said that he has witnessed women being called to the den and they were made to do "objectionable things." He also spoke about a 1995 incident in Mount Abu, where Ram Rahim raped a 16-year-old girl for hours.
Beant noted that it was not just the women who were at the Dera chief's mercy. The men too were not spared and "all the male inmates in his Dera are sterilised, including the security guards," he revealed. "He tried to start his own religion and rituals. His blood drops mixed with Roohafza were served for indoctrination."

Jio Phone: Delivery Date Status, Next Sale, and Other Things You Need to Know

    ( Click Here To latest aaps news join our facebook gruop )

Jio Phone deliveries have commenced, with Reliance Jio confirming that all 6 million customers who pre-booked the handset will get the handset by Diwali. This will be good news for the consumers based in Tier-1, 2, and 3 cities as well as rural areas, since it means they won't have to wait too long for the Jio Phone delivery date. Though Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani had earlier said the company aims to delivery 5 million units a week, it is unlikely to happen at least till the logistics processes are cemented. On the other hand, if you were unable to book Jio Phone in August, you might just have to wait a little longer. Here's what you need to know about the Jio Phone booking process, delivery dates, price, and more.

  • How to book Jio Phone?To book Jio Phone you have three options – the Jio.com website, the MyJio app, and authorised offline Jio retailers. All you need to do make the Jio Phone booking is to give your phone number and the pincode delivery address, and pay a sum of Rs. 500. Once the booking has been made, you will receive a voucher number that you can refer to while picking up the handset. When the Jio Phone you booked is up for delivery, you will receive an SMS mentioning the store from which it can be picked up. Even the units booked online will have to be picked up offline. For now, the bookings are closed.

  • Can I book the Jio Phone for a friend?Yes, you can book multiple Jio Phone units, for your friends and family. All you need is their respective phone numbers and delivery pincodes. You will have to make a Rs. 500 payment for each unit you pre-order at the time of booking itself.

  • How to check Jio Phone booking status?To check Jio Phone booking status, you have two options - the MyJio app, and an IVR number. If you want to check Jio Phone booking status online, open MyJio app and tap on the Manage Booking option. After providing your registered phone number and OTP, you will see the My Vouchers page on the screen. At the moment the Status field just says.Created, but as the Jio Phone delivery date for your unit draws near, it should show the date and details of the store from which the phone can be picked up. Alternatively, you can call 18008908900 via the number from which you booked the handset. This is an IVR number, and you just need to follow the instructions.

  • When is Jio Phone delivery date?Citing channel partners, a new report says the Jio Phone deliveries have started, which is in line with Gadgets 360's reportage on the shipping commencing around Navratri. The deliveries will be completed over the next 15 days, the report says, adding that users in rural areas and smaller cities will get the device before those in urban areas. On Twitter, the company has said the handset will be delivered to all customers by Diwali. Each user will receive the delivery schedule and details of the offline store their unit can be picked up from via SMS.

  • When will Jio Phone bookings start again?Jio Phone bookings were suspended early on August 26 after "millions" booked the handset, with no indication of when the booking will start again. However, if you want to remain updated regarding the next time Jio Phone pre-booking opens, you can head to the official websiteand register your interest. With this, you will be notified about the next time the handset goes on sale via SMS and email.

  • When do I make the full payment?The refundable security amount for Jio Phone is Rs. 1,500, of which Rs. 500 is, as mentioned above, paid at the time of booking. The remaining Rs. 1,000 has to be paid when you pick up the handset from the offline store.
  • How many units can I book?On the MyJio app and Jio.com website, there seems to be no cap on how many units of the handset can be booked (we went up to 30 units). Multiple units can be booked against the same number and pincode as well, and you just need to make the Rs. 500 partial deposit per unit at the time of booking.
  • Can I transfer my booking to someone else?After ordering the Jio 4G phone, if you decide against buying it, you can transfer the booking to someone else using the Transfer option in the MyJio app, under Manage Bookings. After entering your number and OTP, you will see an overview of your Jio Phone bookings, with information such as orders placed and number of units for each order. Now, tap on the Transfer button above the Jio Phone banner, and the screen will switch to a new interface with the option to reassign your booking to someone else. All you will have to do is to provide the new user’s phone number, the new delivery pincode, and number of units to be transferred (in case you booked more than one). The recipient will instantaneously receive a SMS from Jio mentioning their new booking.
  • How much data will I get with the phone?The phone comes with two primary recharge packs, priced at Rs. 153 and Rs. 309. The Rs. 153 Jio Phone pack provides 500MB data at 4G speeds, and the speed goes down to 128kbps after the high-speed data cap is exhausted. You will also get 300 free SMSs, access to compatible Jio apps, such as JioTV, JioCinema, JioXpressNews, and JioMusic. Voice calls are free on the Jio network as well.With the Rs. 309 Jio Phone recharge pack, you will get the same benefits as the Rs. 153 pack, but 1GB of data per day. If you plan to use the Jio Phone-TV Cable, called the JioMediaCable, that lets you mirror content playing on the phone directly on the big screen then you must buy the Rs. 309 recharge pack. This recharge pack will become available for purchase only when the cable hits the market. There are also two sachet packs of Rs. 24 and Rs. 54, with validities of 2 days and 7 days, respectively.

  • Is the Jio Phone-TV Cable free? Where and when can I buy it?The JioMediaCable will not be available free, though it is not yet clear how much it will cost. Similarly, there is no clarity at the moment regarding its launch date. However, it is confirmed that the accessory will be available to purchase both online and offline for Jio Phone buyers.
  • Which apps will work on Jio Phone?Jio says apart from its own apps, users will get popular instant messaging and social networking apps on the handset. However, WhatsApp – inarguably the most popular messaging app in India – isnot present on the KAI OS-based platform at the moment, though it may be added later on. We did catch a glimpse of Facebook on the phone at the launch event, along with PM Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat app. With a VGA camera in front, you can expect video calling apps – JioVideoCall at least – to work on the handset too. Other Jio apps that will be preloaded on the phone are JioShare, JioGames, and a Web browser.If we are talking about the phone’s software, the device’s HelloJio voice recognition system that supports 22 Indian languages needs to be mentioned as well. According to the demo at the launch event, the voice recognition system will allow users to control certain functions on the phone by saying commands aloud in their vernacular languages. The website says it can make calls, send SMSs, launch the browser and camera apps, and open JioTV, JioCinema, JioMusic etc.
  • Which languages are supported on the Jio Phone? The Jio Phone supports 22 Indian languages that should cover most of the regional languages in the country. The full list of languages supported by the Jio Phone (in alphabetical order) is Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.

  • What are the key Jio Phone features and specifications?Jio Phone has a 2.4-inch display with 320x240 pixel resolution, dual-core 1.2GHz Spreadtrum SPRD 9820A/QC9805 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal with expansion support up to 128GB, 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 2000mAh battery with talk time of 12 hours, NFC for digital payments (software support to be added later), Bluetooth 4.1, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, and USB 2.0 support.You will get a flashlight, alphanumeric keypad with 4-way navigation button in the middle, FM radio, and headphone jack on the phone. It will also have Microsoft Exchange email support, and allow you to import contacts synced with your Google account. The company says some of these features will be released later via software updates.
  • When will I get my refundable money back?To reclaim the refundable security deposit of Rs. 1,500, you have to wait for three years from the date of purchase. You will get the full amount back when you hand over the device to the company, Jio says.

India vs Australia, 3rd ODI: Rohit Sharma, Ajinkya Rahane take India top of world

Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma set the tone before Hardik Pandya takes centre stage as India chased down the target of 294 to seal the series and claim ICC ODI No.1 ranking.

    ( Click Here To latest aaps news join our facebook gruop )

Two old Mumbai hands, who have seen each other grow as cricketers from teenage days and who played for the same club, sealed the series for India, propelling the team to its ninth consecutive ODI win and sixth successive bilateral-series win, which also put them on top of the ICC ODI rankings. A 139-run opening partnership between Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma saw India make light work of a 294-run target set by Australia.

In 2007, Rohit was already a big name in Mumbai cricket circles, big enough for Rahane to drag his friend Dhawal Kulkarni to watch him bat. Rohit was Mumbai’s most exciting new batsman, and already, word was spreading around Mumbai cricket: Watch out for this Borivali boy, he would soon play for India.
Rahane was mesmerised by Rohit’s batting, and as luck would have it, both went on to play for Indian Oil. Both have their own individual style of play, and Rahane has already earned a reputation in Test cricket while Rohit has carved a place for himself in the limited-overs format. Rahane is eying a permanent spot in ODIs, and Rohit is similarly dreaming about Tests, but on Sunday the two pulled out all the stops to make India’s task simple.

However, credit should also go to young Hardik Pandya, who is doing his best to become the all-rounder India has yearned for a while now. It was the Mumbai duo, though, who set the pace in the chase. If Rohit was aggressive, Rahane was elegant. A slow starter usually, Rohit raced away in style, slamming a 62-ball 71 with four sixes and six fours. Australian pacers tried to bowl short of length at him, and Rohit made them pay. He even slugged a Kane Richardson delivery out of the ground.

Rohit completed his 33rd ODI fifty by biffing a huge six off Aston Agar. His knock ended with a top edge to substitute fielder Hilton Cartwright at deep mid-wicket. By then, though, India had got the start they wanted, especially when their middle order has been disappointing in the past two games. Two over later, Rahane too departed, trapped in front of the stumps. His 70 had come off 76 balls. He will probably be ruing that he didn’t carry on for a big innings as his place will be again up for grabs once Shikhar Dhawan comes back.

It was not all India, though, as Australia managed to get the wickets of Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav in quick succession. India needed 88 runs in 14 overs and the onus was on Pandya and Manish Pandey. The Baroda all-rounder had been promoted this time and chose his bowlers well on Sunday – the spinner Agar was his prime target. His four sixes came off Agar; three of those flew over deep the mid-wicket area.

By the time Pandya was out, India needed just 10 more, and Pandey ensured India defeated Australia by five wickets. Later, Kohli would credit Ravi Shastri for the promotion of Pandya. “His promotion today was Ravi Bhai’s thought. He felt we needed to attack the spinner. We totally back him and he’s a hardworking guy.”
It was the third time in a bilateral series that Australia had lost the first three ODIs. It would hurt, considering this was their best effort so far in the series, which came courtesy Aaron Finch, who returned for this game after missing out the first two due to injury. Finch plundered 124 runs in quick time and charged Australia to a decent total, but it was not enough. Kohli sent out more worrying signs for the opposition when he said, “We may give opportunities for people from now, but all 15 guys know that we got to be ruthless once we step onto the field. I know it won’t happen every single day, but at least that mindset is there. Credit to the whole squad for the series win, but the journey stops only after the final game.”

What is Navratri? What do these nine days of festivities mean?

( Click Here To latest aaps news join our facebook gruop )

Hinduism's nine most holy days, Navratri represents a lot more than just prayers and abstinence from food.

Navratri--or the nine sacred days--mark the most auspicious days of the lunar calendar according to Hinduism. Celebrated with fervour and festivity all over north India, and every Hindu community the world over, these nine days are dedicated solely to Maa Durga (goddess Durga) and her nine avatars.

The prominent story associated with Navratri is the battle that took place between goddess Durga and the demon Mahishasura, who represents egotism. All the nine days of  the festival are dedicated to each distinct avatar of the goddess; and each of these days has a significant colour attached to it, which devotees are expected to wear while taking part in the festivities. So, we've tried to break it down in easier terms for you:

The nine avatars of Durga and the colours of each avatar:

Day 1: SHAILPUTRI: She is the embodiment of the collective power of Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. It is in this form that the goddess was worshipped as the consort of Shiva. The colour of the first day is red--it depicts action and vigour.

Day 2: BRAHMCHARINI: The one who practices devout austerity. She is blissful and endows happiness, peace, prosperity and grace upon all devotees who worship her. Filled with bliss and happiness, she is the way to emancipation or moksha. The colour of the second day is royal blue, since it's synonymous with a calm-yet-powerful energy.

Day 3: CHANDRAGHANTA: She represents beauty and grace and is worshipped on the third day for peace, tranquillity and prosperity in life. She is the apostle of bravery and possesses great strength. The colour of the day is yellow.

Day 4: KUSHMUNDA: She is considered the creator of the universe. It is believed that Kushmunda created the universe through a bout of laughter and made it verdant with vegetation. Hence, the colour of the day is green

Day 5: SKAND MATA: She is the mother of Skanda, or Karthikeya, who was chosen by the gods as their commander-in-chief in the war against the demons. She is accompanied by Skanda in his infant form. The colour of the day is grey, as it indicates the vulnerability of a mother who can turn into a storm cloud when the need arises to protect her child.

Day 6:KATYAYANI: Katyayani was born to the great sage, Kata, as an avatar of Durga. Dressed in orange, she exhibits immense courage. Hence, the colour of the day is orange.

Day 7: KALRATRI: She has a dark complexion, dishevelled hair and a fearless posture. She has three eyes that shine bright, with flames emanating from her breath. She is black like the goddess Kali. She is the most fierce form of goddess Durga, and she is dressed in white, a colour that represents peace and prayer. Thus, the colour of the day is white.

Day 8: MAHA GAURI: Maha Gauri is intelligent, peaceful and calm. It is said that due to her long austerities in the deep forests of the Himalayas, her colour transformed from white to back. However, later, when Shiva cleaned her with the waters of the Ganga, her body regained its beauty and she came to be known as Maha Gauri, which means extremely white. The colour of the day is pink, denoting hope and a fresh start

Day 9: Siddhidatri: She has supernatural healing powers. She has four arms and is always in a happy state of mind. She blesses all gods, saints, yogis, tantriks and all devotees as a manifestation of the mother goddess. The goddess is shown to be in a blissful state, just like the sky on a clear day. Thus, the colour of the day is sky blue, representing wonderment about the beauty of nature.

Celebrated twice a year, the first Navratri that falls in the month of March or April is known as Chaitra Navratri. Most devotees of goddess Durga observe a fast for nine days, though some observe it for only two days. During the fast, one is meant to abstain from everyday grains like wheat, but can consume fruits, milk, tea, coffee, potatoes and one meal of sago food preparations--such as kuttu (singhada) atta and special rice. Instead of regular table salt, sendha (sea) salt is used for cooking.

Food eaten during Navratri:

* Fried or boiled potatoes
* Kadhi prepared with kuttu atta and sea salt
* Aloo tikki
* Banana chips
* Makhane ki sabzi
* Fruits and fruit juices
* Sabudana kheer
* Curd* Lassi
* Kuttu atta roti with kaddu sabzi or aloo sabzi

So, go forth, have a fabulous Navratri!

Indian IT To Benefit From Fresh Processing Of H-1B Visas

( Click Here To latest aaps news join our facebook gruop )

IT industry body Nasscom on Tuesday said resumption of fast processing of H-1B visas - most sought after by Indian IT professionals - by the US will help Indian technology companies smoothly conduct business even as they continue to focus on reducing their dependence on work visas. Nasscom president R Chandrasekhar said the applications for work visas by Indian IT companies have halved over the last few years as the companies are leveraging new technologies to reduce dependence on visas to send workers to client sites.

"This is certainly a welcome move. We were expecting this to come. Usually, when priority visa processing is suspended, it is done for 2 months or so. This time, it was more, which was different," he said.

The US has resumed fast processing of H-1B work visas in all categories subject to Congress-mandated limit, five months after it was suspended temporarily to handle the huge rush of applications for the work visas popular among Indian IT professionals.

When a petitioner requests the agency's premium processing service, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) guarantees a 15-day processing time. If the 15-day processing time is not met, the agency will refund the petitioner's premium processing service fee and continue with expedited processing of the application.

Mr Chandrasekhar said the resumption was important for "smooth conduct of business". "Applications have halved because of issues around visa, including long delays, increased scrutiny, and also because of changing business models, there is increased local hiring," he said.

Mr Chandrasekhar said the premium processing route is important because for special skill sets, it is difficult to anticipate the requirements in advance and file applications. Nasscom vice-president (global trade development) Shivendra Singh said the number of petitions granted to the top seven Indian companies has come down to under 10,000 in 2016, from over 18,000 in 2014.

"We are absolutely for it (due diligence for visa issuance) as long as it is not leading to any harassment and unnecessary delays," Mr Singh added.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah clarifies stand on ban demanded by Sikh group for portrayal of guru

( Click Here To latest aaps news join our facebook gruop )

TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently earned the ire of the Sikh community for allegedly depicting a living character of tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh, which was "against the Sikh tenets". The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) demanded a ban on the show for hurting the sentiments of the community by portraying 'blasphemous acts'.

Now, the makers of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah have put out a statement where they say that they never intended to hurt sentiments, and that they respect Sikhism.

"Roshan Singh Sodhi was shown as Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Ka Khalsa, which has been justified through the dialogues & his performance. We have always believed in equality of all the religions & have never intended to hurt the sentiments of anyone. Our show consists of people from varied religions and cultures who worship each God and celebrate each and every festival with equal respect & happiness.
We are aware & respect that in Sikh religion nobody can show or portray themselves as Guru Gobind Singh Ji. We request our viewers not to misinterpret it any other context," said Asit Kumarr Modi, the producer and creator of the show, as quoted byThe Quint.

Additionally, they also put out a tweet asking people not to misinterpret the scenes in question.

Previously, the SGPC chief Kirpal Singh Badungar had said, "No actor or any character can equate himself with the tenth Sikh Guru Gobind Singh. Such an act is unpardonable."
