Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana box office Day 2 This film marks Rajkummar Rao's fourth film this year after Trapped, Behen Hogi Teri and Newton. With such roles, he has managed to gain a fan base of his own. Hence the film is expected to cover the basic budget of the film in the following days.

For various reasons, a movie goer would now want to keep films of Rajkummar Rao in the must watch list of Bollywood. Much like how it had been predicted by trade gurus, the film witnessed an opening of Rs 1.62 crore. It is expected to earn Rs 6 crore by the first weekend. The film has opened amidst competitions from Qarib Qarib Singlle and Thor: Ragnarok. Although the latter film had released last week, its popularity has not died yet. Chris Hemsworth’s film has occupied most of the screens at the theaters.

“Thor: Ragnarok has definitely generated a lot of buzz. It’s occupying a large number of screens till now at the theaters. That’s why I expect Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana to make Rs 1-1.5 crore on the first day. By the time the weekend arrives it may earn Rs 6 crores if the reviews and word-of-mouth are strong,” trade analyst Girish Johar had told indianexpress.com earlier.

Film critic Shubhra Gupta who rated the film one and a half stars said, “What also keeps us watching is, of course, Rao. He’s had a super year, and this time around too, he makes his Sattu a real, vulnerable guy. But maybe he needs to take a break from being a small-town lover boy. It’s all becoming too much of a muchness, as are movies set in these small towns, and their quirky, colourful characters. What about a film with a convincing, loud shout out against ‘dahej’? Now that’s one invite I wouldn’t miss.”
